FSC Certification

Climadoor’s Mexicano is available in both standard and FD30 fire-rated versions. The non-fire rated door is built with a lightweight yet durable hollow core, while the FD30 version features a solid core for enhanced fire protection.

Framed construction provides extra strength and stability, and the edges come pre-primed for a smooth, consistent finish.

Given it's moulded construction and for ease of installation, lock blocks measuring 300x82mm are supplied on both sides, with the center of the lock block aligned with the center of the door.

The door is designed to be trim-friendly, allowing non-fire rated versions to be trimmed by up to 6mm from any edge. FD30 fire-rated doors are supplied with 18mm lippings, allowing up to 12mm to be trimmed from each edge.

Our white primed Mexicano doors are backed by a 10-year guarantee against manufacturing defects for added confidence.

The Mexicano White Primed door is available in a wide range of imperial and metric sizes, designed to fit the most popular internal door dimensions. For unique requirements, bespoke sizes can also be made to order on an extended lead time, ensuring a perfect fit for your home.

Questions about White Smooth Mexicano Internal Doors

What does white primed door mean?

A white primed door means that the door has already been pre-coated with a white primer during the manufacturing process. This primer serves as a base layer that prepares the door's surface for painting. It helps the final coat of paint adhere more effectively and ensures a smooth, even finish.

Can you leave a primed door unpainted?

While it may be tempting to leave a primed door unpainted, it is not recommended. The primer is designed as a preparatory layer rather than a final finish, and it lacks the durability and protection offered by a topcoat of paint. Leaving a door with only primer exposed can lead to issues such as moisture absorption, stains, and general wear over time. To protect the door and achieve a long-lasting finish, it's important to apply at least one coat of paint after installation.

Do white primed doors need an undercoat?

In most cases, white primed doors do not require an additional undercoat. The primer layer already serves as the undercoat, preparing the surface for the top layer of paint. Once you’ve chosen your paint color, you can apply it directly to the primed surface. However, if you're opting for a significantly darker or more vibrant shade, applying an additional undercoat might help improve colour coverage and ensure a smooth, even result.

Do I need to prime a primed door?

No, you do not need to prime a door that has already been primed. A white primed door has been prepared with a base primer coat during production, so it’s ready for the topcoat of paint. Skipping the additional priming step saves time and effort, allowing you to focus on achieving the perfect finish with your chosen paint colour. Simply sand any rough areas lightly if needed, then proceed with painting for a professional, durable result.
