Questions about Panelled Fire Doors
Not all panel doors are fire rated. When shopping, keep an eye out for FD ratings, which explain whether a door is fire-rated and to what level. For example, all of the panel doors you find on this page are FD30 fire rated.
Interior panel fire doors are ‘sealed’ when a fire breaks out due to the intumescent strips fitted within the door. The heat from the fire makes these strips expand, filling in the gaps between the frame and the panelled door. It may be surprising to hear, but fire doors can indeed have glazed panels. Many of our customers are looking for fire-resistant and stylish internal panel doors. Our collection of panelled fire doors includes solid panels and options with clear or frosted glass. No one ever said that safety has to be ugly.
